fair.

this is an interesting site. i think i maybe sold on this idea...

not to mention the $500 billion dollars spent NOT in our current system. And the 50 billion spent by the IRS to organize and employ that also.

i have heard that every dollar in taxes is 3 x's less effective than if it was in the economy (ie: i give you a dollar for your service, you give that dollar to someone else, etc. etc. each time it is taxed).

also... it would seem that the extimated 10-15 trillion dollars that are currently out of our country (from our own citizens) and the 2-4 trillion extra (from other countries) could be re-invested into our economy - capital - loans - buildings - businesses...etc.

if that comes in... cause it wouldn't be taxed AT ALL on the interest.... i think our economy would rise and we could very well see 23% go to 20% or maybe even 15% within 20 years. it would also put pressure on state governments to jump in line and go to a consumption tax...

30% for every new item... and no other taxes at all!

anyway with the "huckabee" phenomenon in iowa i though i would check out his site, and it led me to
www.fairtax.org

inetresting...
