coffee.

legal drugs are always the best.

today i have a free piece of advice.

when having a men's bible study at denny's at 6am. do not sit in the corner of the booth and drink 5 cups of coffee and two glasses of water. it makes it hard to concentrate during the closing prayer.

ah, sweet release!

enough.

sometimes enough is enough.

repentance = death to an old way. why live in it any longer. be done with it. don't longer for it... what did you reap from that way of life? frustration,

"So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!
Romans 8:12-15

fine.

ever sick of it being just fine.

ever long for it to be good, pure, honorable, wonderful.

breathtaking.

this is a good motivation, longing and want. hard to think that GOD would not wish for us to strive, think, pray and run toward something better -- before he rewards our efforts.

"These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. For people who speak thus make it clear that they are seeking a homeland. If they had been thinking of that land from which they had gone out, they would have had opportunity to return. But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city."
Hebrews 11:13-16

care.

i have found an enjoyment today spending time with kathryn and taking care of her, as she is sick. so many times we get so busy "living" together that we don't get to spend time together. perhaps sickness helps us remember and do this!

just a thought...

fair.

this is an interesting site. i think i maybe sold on this idea...

not to mention the $500 billion dollars spent NOT in our current system. And the 50 billion spent by the IRS to organize and employ that also.

i have heard that every dollar in taxes is 3 x's less effective than if it was in the economy (ie: i give you a dollar for your service, you give that dollar to someone else, etc. etc. each time it is taxed).

also... it would seem that the extimated 10-15 trillion dollars that are currently out of our country (from our own citizens) and the 2-4 trillion extra (from other countries) could be re-invested into our economy - capital - loans - buildings - businesses...etc.

if that comes in... cause it wouldn't be taxed AT ALL on the interest.... i think our economy would rise and we could very well see 23% go to 20% or maybe even 15% within 20 years. it would also put pressure on state governments to jump in line and go to a consumption tax...

30% for every new item... and no other taxes at all!

anyway with the "huckabee" phenomenon in iowa i though i would check out his site, and it led me to

inetresting...
